Wayland compositors

Okay, I like Wayland.

I think it should replace X11. Majorly.

X11 is so poor in quality, and lacking of security features.

So, here’s some wayland compositors/software to replace X11 ones:

Compositors

• Dwm - Dwl
• Bspwm - River (my favourite)
• Awesome - Hyprland

Software

• waybar
• kitty
• wofi/rofi-wayland
• wayshot

My favourite compositor

River is my favourite compositor.

I believe it’s the most powerful.

It’s written in Zig, C for the 21st century.

Here’s some of it’s features:

• Window moving around screen
• Keybind controls in modes
• Configuration is in any scripting language of choice
• Changing of any option at any moment

Though, it’s kind of designed to not refresh, however if you run your init file, it’s the same.

It’s only problem is that it’s doesn’t have eye-candy.

Like, at all.

But I can sacrifice looks for functionality.
